Betty L. Lanier

Betty L. Lanier, age 73 of Massillon, died on Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at Mercy Medical Center in Canton surrounded by her family. She was born on September 14, 1935 in Massillon and was the daughter of the late James and Julia (Myers) Jordan. She was a lifelong area resident. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl E. Koppes. She is survived by her daughters, Valerie Davis of Massillon and Lori (Dale) Link of Navarre, her stepson, Dennis (Pamela) Lanier of Massillon, her grandchildren, Christopher and Erin Davis, Savannah, Cheyenne and Jackie Link, Troy (Kay), Ryan and Heather Lanier and her great grandchildren, Hunter, Gavin, Chelsea and Alexis. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday at 11:00 A.M. at the Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home with burial following at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6-8 P.M. The family suggests that those who wish, may make a gift to the Salvation Army during this holiday season in memory of Betty L. Lanier.
