Betty L. Franklin

Betty L. Franklin, age 64 of Massillon, passed away Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at Affinity Medical Center. She was born on February 23, 1946 in Martins Ferry, Ohio the daughter of the late Clyde and Nina Burch. Betty lived in Massillon most of her life. Betty served as the head cook at the Massillon Women’s Club, retiring in 1998. Since retiring from Massillon Women’s Club, she spent countless hours caring for the grandchildren. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Clyde Burch and sister, Mary Ann Jackson. She is survived by her husband, Michael Franklin, with whom she shared 44 years of marriage; her children and their spouses, William R. Franklin (Sandra Gump) of Massillon, Kelsey E. Franklin of Jackson Twp., and Angela E. (Ruel III) Fox of Massillon; her grandchildren, Amber Franklin, Ruel FoxIV, Michael Franklin, Alexus Fox, Hallie Fanklin, William Fox and Ethan Fox; her brothers, Robert Burch of Bellaire, OH, James (Candy) Burch of Canton and Tom (Darlene) Burch of Bellaire, OH and her sister, Cathy (R.B.) Mussard of Shadyside, OH. A funeral to celebrate Betty’s life will be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. Pastor Chad Blaylock will be officiating. Burial will follow at Brookfield Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 6-8 PM. Donations may be made to March of Dimes in Betty’s name.
