Betty Jean Priester, 69, passed away on May 5, 2018, following a brief illness. She was born on May 10, 1948 in Tuskegee, AL to the late Noah and Annie (Jones) Harvey. A member of Greater Bethel Apostolic Church, Canton, she was known for her outgoing personality and sense of humor. Betty was always an uplifting presence in a room and she loved bingo. She is survived by her children, Cordell “Qua” Priester, Starlita Harvey, Kashiwa Priester, Shinequa Dorsey, Andre Harvey, Lee Bennett and John Priester; eighteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren, and a sister Lula Belle Smith. She was preceded in death by her two sons, Orrin Priester and Rodney Butler; a sister, Essie Mae Morris; two brothers, Noah Harvey and Andrew Harvey; and a grandson, Messiah Sorrells. Friends and family may call at the Greater Bethel Apostolic Church, Canton on Friday, May 11, 2018 from 10am-12pm with funeral services to follow at 12pm in the church.
