Betty Jean Alto age 70 passed away June 9, 2007 in Clearwater, FL after a short illness. She was born November 26, 1936 in Painesville, OH to the late James & Betty (Popp) Call. Betty Jean was a 1955 graduate of Harvey High School. Betty Jean & Bob Alto were married on February 23, 1957 and had recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. She was an active member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority (Laureate Epsilon Theta Chapter). In 1960 they moved to Stark County from Washington D.C., and after retiring have spent their winters in Holiday, FL. Betty Jean had been employed by Dillards for 19 years. In addition to her parents, her in-laws Vernie & Helen Alto predeceased her. She is survived by her devoted and very loving husband of 50 years, Bob Alto, two sons and a daughter-in-law, Gary & Melody Alto of North Canton and Mark Alto of Holiday, FL. Other siblings are: Rosemary Call of Boca Raton, FL, Richard ‘Bucky’ & Rose Call of Painesville, OH and Patricia & Joe Arcadi of Boynton Beach, FL. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren: Matthew, Katie, Christopher, Sarah and Rachel. Other relatives include: beloved Aunt Mutz ‘Matilda’ Alto of Fairport Harbor, OH and sister-in-law Roberta Randa of Kansas City, MO. as well as several other nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 AM Saturday July 7, 2007 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. Friends may call 6-8 PM Friday July 6, 2007 at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon.
