Betty Janet Shafrath

Betty Janet Shafrath, 85, of Massillon, passed away on November 5, 2024 at Meadow Wind Health Care Center.

She was born on August 22, 1939 to the late Herbert and Opal (Lupardus) Parsons in Spencer, WV.

Betty worked as a waitress for 50 years predominantly at the Four Winds and Bender's Downtown Canton. She enjoyed doing yard work, going to casino's, and spending time with family. Betty especially enjoyed hosting holidays and BBQ's. She was a member of Sixteen St. John's Church..

Betty is survived by her loving children Michelle (Bill) Rose and Diana (Fred) Davis; grandchildren, Stephanie Klar, Ronald (Adriana) Klar, Bill (Danielle) Rose, Brett (Sarah Bell) Rose, Kyle Davis, and Kayla Davis; special care giver, Jenni Rastetter; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Shafrath; former husband, David G. Klar; son's, Robert Klar and David A. Klar; six siblings; and special friend, Bob Hoffner.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

The family would like to thank the entire staff of Meadow Winds and Crossroads Hospice for their care.
