Betty Jane Mcgrady

Betty Jane McGrady, 95, passed away on December 18, 2017 following an extended illness. She was born on October 13, 1922 in Canton to the late John and Evelyn (Ekrote) Banahan. Betty was a graduate of McKinley High School. She loved to dance and enjoyed Polka Music She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She is survived by her children, Darlene (Joe) Zink of Massillon, Charles McGrady of Massillon and Pam McGrady of Canton; daughter-in-law, Nancy McGrady of Canton; four grandchildren, Michael (Angel) McGrady, Brent (Natalie) McGrady, Shannon (Kevin) Anderson, and Steven Snyder; nine great-grandchildren, Kayla, Stefanie, Michael Jr., Madeline, Braeden, Nathan, Hannah, Matthew and Michael; and two great-great grandchildren, Sophia and Lawson. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Robert McGrady; grandson, Johnny Gastin and a sister, Dorothy Douglas. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Massillon by Fr. Raymond Paul on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at 10:00am, inurnment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
