Betty J. Keeney

Betty J. Keeney, age 80 of Jackson Township, died Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at home surrounded by her family. She was born on December 10, 1932 in Ironton, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Irene Mays. Following high school, Betty married Philip Keeney. Together they shared 61 years of marriage before Philip passed away on September 21, 2012. They began their life together and settled down in Canton, OH after Phil's military duty during the Korean Conflict. Betty was a homemaker and most of all, enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandsons. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Candace and Ron Reese and her grandsons, Ryan and Chris Reese. The family will receive friends at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home (1100 Wales Road NE, Massillon, OH 44646) on Thursday, August 1, 2013 from 6-8 P.M. The funeral will be private.
