Betty J. Hose, age 85, passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at her home surrounded by her family and friends. She was born on June 19, 1925 in Massillon and was the daughter of the late Burl A. and Florence A. (Hoffman) Burwell. She was a homemaker for most of her life, but she was proud to have worked at Griscom-Russell and Tyson Roller Bearing during World War II. Betty was a past Washington High School Band Parent and also volunteered at many different functions throughout the community and was a member of Faith Community Fellowship Church. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Hose in 2003, her sister Dolores Hurley and her brothers, Robert, William and Delmar Burwell. She is survived by her daughters, Florence “Flo” (Robert) Stahleker and Darinda “Dee” (Robert) Jenkins all of Jackson Township, her grandchildren, Bob (Christine) Stahleker, Jr.. Kevin (Michelle) Stahleker and Maria Jenkins, her great grandchildren, Ashley, Jacob and Alex Stahleker and her brothers, Burl Burwell of Jackson Township and Donald Burwell of Canal Fulton. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and friends. A service to celebrate Betty’s life will take place on Monday at 11:00 A.M. at the Paquelet Funeral Home, 1100 Wales Road N.E. in Massillon with Rev. David Kimberly officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday at the funeral home from 2-4 P.M. and on Monday one hour before the service.
