Betty Eckert

Betty A. Eckert, age 82, of Massillon passed away Thursday August 27, 2009 at Aultman Hospital. She was born January 21, 1927 in Maysville, KY the daughter of the late Paul and Ethel (Mattingly) Walden. Betty owned and operated Nu-Look Beauty Salon for over 40 years retiring in 1997. She also taught beauty school. She was a member of the Son’s of Herman, the Abundant Life Christian Fellowship Church, and was a former member of the Women of the Moose. She enjoyed gardening and fishing. Betty is survived by children Michael E. Robison of Orlando, FL, Cathy (Harold) Brown of Massillon, William (Edna) Robison of Shelbyville, IN, Kimberly (Jerry) Shackle of Massillon, and Terri L. (Joseph) Clem of Lexington, OH; thirteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James L. Eckert on May 11, 2009. A memorial service will be held Friday September 4, 2009 at 6:30 P.M. at the Abundant Life Christian Fellowship Church, Massillon.
