Bethlehem V. Gatsios, 92, of Massillon, passed away on August 1, 2023.
She was born on September 15, 1930 to Christ and Catherine (Ralli) Vattos of Massillon, OH.
A graduate of Washington High School, Class of 1948, Beth began her career in banking and eventually became the first female vice president in Stark County. After leaving the bank in 1968 , she dedicated her time to raising her children and then she returned to work for the City of Massillon Civil Service Commission retiring after 45 plus years. She was a member of The Massillon Woman's Club, St. George Greek Orthodox Church, St. George Woman's Philanthropic Community and was active in all the churches events. Beth loved to go boating and on trips with her family. She was dedicated to her family and friends.
Beth is survived by her devoted loving children, Mark J. Gatsios and Chrisan B. Gatsios; grandchildren, Rachel (John) Inks and Nicholas Gatsios; and great-grandchild, Amelia Inks.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James G. Gatsios; and sister, Athena Paris.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 4, 2023 from 5pm-8pm at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home, Massillon, Ohio.
Trisagion Prayer Service at 7:30 pm.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2023, 10:30 am at the St. George Greek Orthodox Church, with The Very Rev. Fr. Spyridon Kehayes, officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
