Bernard H. Walters

Bernard H. Walters, age 90 of Massillon, died on Saturday, May 30, 2009 at the McKinley Health Care Center. He was born on August 30, 1918 in Massillon and was the son of the late Gilbert and Marcella Walters. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army in the Solomon Islands, New Guinea and the Phillipine Islands. He worked for the former Griscom-Russell in the copper shop. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Betty Mae Walters in 1974 and his brothers, Eugene, Leo and Vincent Walters. He is survived by his daughters, Sandra Walters of Massillon and Sharon Stach of Canton and several cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday at 1:00 P.M. at the Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6-8 P.M. Burial will take place at Brookfield Cemetery.
