Benjamin T. Bradley age 63 of Massillon passed Sunday at Massillon Hospital following a month illness. Ben was born November 26, 1944 in Anderson, AL to the late Oscar & Blanche (Bailey) Bradley. He was a 1963 gradate of Washington High School where he lettered in the football, wrestling, choir and track; and graduated from Northwood College in 1968. He was selected to the All American High School Football Team in 1962. He began a career with General Motors in 1968 and retired in 1993 as General Supervisor of Inland GM, Lake St. Louis, MO. His community activities include Massillon Civil Service Commission, Board member of the Massillon Park Commission, and Stark County Community Action Committee. His personal interest all Tiger Sport, especially football, fishing and the betterment of Massillon. He belongs to the Massillon Lions Club, past president of the Tiger Booster Club, president of Touchdown Club, past president and board member of Lighthouse Vision and Friendship Baptist Church where he served as a trustee. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Sherrie Bradley and two brothers Gerald Bradley and Oscar Bradley. Ben is survived by his wife Doretta (McDonald) Bradley five children: Jason Bradley, Brandie Bradley, Raphel Dodd, Jermine Blackmon and Donald Blackmon; a sister Mary Katherine Bradley and eleven grandchildren. A Celebration of Ben’s Life will be 11 A.M. Saturday at Friendship Baptist Church; Rev. Reginald Hye will lead the service. His final resting place will be Massillon Cemetery. The Lions Club will have services Friday at 5:30 P.M. Friends may call Friday from 6-8 PM at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon and one hour before the service on Saturday at the church.
