Beatrice A. Bredenberg

March 10, 1925 — November 3, 2007

Beatrice A. Bredenberg, age 82 of Massillon, died Saturday, November 3, 2007 at Mercy Medical Center in Canton. She was born on March 10, 1925 in Akron, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Walter and Juanita (Schrom) Martin. She was an area resident for most of her life. She was active volunteering at gift shop at the former Massillon Community Hospital and served on the Auxiliary Board, she volunteered at the Massillon Public Library. She was an avid bowler, serving as secretary for many years of the Massillon Women’s Bowling Association. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Bredenberg in 1993, her sisters, Janice Shannon, Jackie Martin and Dorothy Houston and her brother Tom Martin. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She is survived by her daughter, Marsha Bredenberg of Canton and Roger Gillispie, whom she considered as a son, her daughter Mary Secor of Massillon, her son Greg (Lorena) Bredenberg of Live Oak, FL, her grandsons, Vince Bredenberg and Tim Secor both of Massillon, her sisters in law, Rose Mitseff, Delores Skolmutch and Lorraine Kelly and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5-8 PM and on Wednesday one hour before the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
