Barbara Ruth Reed, 66, of North Lawrence, OH passed away Sunday, September 12, 2010 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 20, 1943 in Willard, OH the daughter of the late Earl W. and Lorna (Miller) Clark. Barbara was the executive secretary to the captain at the Massillon Post of the State Highway Patrol. She enjoyed camping, fishing, playing cards, and had a lifelong love of reading. She also enjoyed collecting fairies. On September 7, 1968 Barbara married Robert Reed and he survives. Also surviving are their children Kimberly (Bob) Guilliams of Massillon, Robert (Susan) Reed Jr. of Canal Fulton, Kenneth (Saundra) Reed of Massillon, Patricia Thomas of North Lawrence and Rick (Sandra) Reed of Massillon; eleven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers Larry Clark of Florida, and Lonnie (Carolyn) Clark of Brewster; sister Linda (Harold) Sasavicz of Massillon. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by a granddaughter Shanet Cherry, and a sister Lillian Clark. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6-9 P.M. at Paquelet Funeral Home 1100 Wales Rd. NE. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M until the time of service. Pastor Cecil Thayer will officiate. Interment will follow at Brookfield Cemetery. Donations in Barbara’s memory may be made to Crossroads Hospice. Messages of comfort and support may be made at www.paquelet.com.
