Barbara Jo Kearns, 61, of Massillon, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Affinity Medical Center. She was born on July 5, 1955 in Salem, Ohio to Harold and Mary (Reed) Allison. Barbara retired as a caregiver and worked for the Wishing Well Manor. She enjoyed gambling, shopping and spending time with her family. Her greatest pride and joy was being a grandmother and great grandmother. She will be deeply missed to all that knew her. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William Kearns, son Gabriel Kearns, sisters Lillian Mayle and Carol Runner and brother William Allison. She is survived by her daughter Mary Kearns and son-in-law Brandon Nicholson; brother Harold Allison; grandchildren Marcus, Courtney, Joseph, and DJ; great-grandchildren Alexandria and Nevaeh; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 31st, from 5-7 p.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home. A celebration of Barbara’s life will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Edd Matako officiating.
