Barbara A. Pierce, 70, answered the door as the angels knocked, calling her home to join her Heavenly Father on July 31, 2015. She was born in Sanford, NC on October 3, 1944 to the late William and Eleanor (Judd) Williams. Barbara worked for RES CARE, was a past member of St. James A.M.E., Mt. Zion Church and a member of Ekkleisia House Ministries, Inc. She was an usher, choir member, Circle of Love and a Life Member of the Women's Home and Over Seas Missionary Society. Barb is described by those who loved her as a God Loving, hard working woman, strong, phenomenal and positive. She was " The Bridge Over Troubled Water" and very candid in sharing wisdom and advice. She is survived by her husband, Eddie H. Pierce, whom she married June 29, 1965; their children, Tiffany (Marty McKennon) Stallworth of Jacksonville, FL and Terrance (Julie) Pierce, Sr. of Massillon; twelve grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother William L. Williams, Jr. of Rancho Cucamonga, CA ; and two sisters Perri Jane (Guy) Bomar of Fort Mill, SC and Marcia Kay Williams-Jones of Vienna, WV and dear friend, Gilda Hampton of Massillon. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Tracy Neal; two brothers, Tyrone Williams and James Arthur Williams; and her father and mother-in-law, Joe and Ida B Pierce.
