Avanelle Allshouse, age 89 of Massillon, died on Monday, March 1, 2010 at Amherst Meadows. She was born in Brookville, PA on August 3, 1920 and was the daughter of the late William and Alice (Bish) Himes. Along with her late husband Walter Allshouse, she owned and operated the former Supersonic Car Wash. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Perry Township. Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son Durwood Allshouse in 2008, brothers, Stewart and Theodore and her sister Martha. Survivors include her grandchildren, Dan Rowley, Mark Allshouse, Mike (Jim Fincher) Allshouse and Chris (Julia) Allshouse, 7 great grandchildren, Lucas, Shawn, Ross, Brittany, Summer, Alexandria and Xavier, one great great grandchild, Landon and her brother Everett (Rita) Himes. A service to celebrate the lives of Walter and Avanelle Allshouse will take place on Friday, March 5, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Trinity United Methodist Church with Pastor Jim Zimmerman officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M until the time of the service. Cremation has taken place. Those who wish, may make a memorial contribution to Harbor Light Hospice, 25 S.
