Auttie L. Mcdowell

Auttie L. McDowell, age 86 of Massillon, passed away Friday, October 26, 2012. Auttie was born on June 10, 1926 in Moundsville, WV the daughter of the late James and Bessie (Wayt) Wayt. Auttie lived in the area most of her life. She did pottery molds during WWII. Auttie wrote poetry, enjoyed reading, and did embroidery both thread and paint. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Willard Flickinger and John McDowell; her brothers, Willard, Raymond & James Wayt Jr. She is survived by her children, Debra (Robert) Smith and Kevin Flickinger; her grandchildren, Tiffany Smith, Danielle Owen and Christopher Smith; her step grandchildren, Kim Long, Michael Flickinger and Kenneth Zufall and numerous step great grandchildren; her great-grandchildren, Jasmine, Ameia, and Nina Smith, Cora, Ethan, and Anthony Owen; and her sister, Eleanor Thaxton. A Celebration of Auttie's Life will be held on Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at 3:00 P.M. at Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. Chaplain Janice Smith will be Officiating.
