Aurora L. Waltz

Aurora L. Waltz, 83, of Massillon, passed away on August 29, 2023. She was born on February 7, 1940 to the late Hilario and Maria Zuniga at Oxnard, California. She married Leslie "Les" Waltz on February 14, 1971 and they shared 52 years together until her passing.

Aurora worked as a Beautician early in her life, but her greatest accomplishment was as a wife, mother and homemaker. She was a lifelong parishioner of St. Barbara Catholic Church, where she and her husband were involved with the folk choir, lay distributor with the Eucharist, sponsor couples getting married and was a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts. In addition they were involved the Holy Family Institute based out of Canfield, Ohio. Aurora enjoyed crafts, growing flowers, baking and cooking. She will forever be remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

Aurora is survived by her loving Husband, Les; her sons, Steve Waltz, Son, Brian (Katie) Waltz; her grandchildren Gabby, Loyal, and Emerson; her brother Joe Suniga and her sister Rosie (Patrick) Roeder a host of family and friends. In addition to parents and her grandmother Luisa Loera, Aurora was preceded in death by her brother Tony Suniga.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Barbara Catholic Church on Wednesday, September 06, 2023 at 11a.m. Father Thomas Cebula and Father Matthew Roehrig officiating. Burial will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Massillon. Donations in Aurora's memory can be made to Stark County Right to Life - 2813
