Audrey M Heflin

Audrey Heflin, age 79 of Dalton, passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2022, after a lengthy, courageous battle with Lung Cancer. She was born on August 10, 1942 to the late John and Odessa Marion. She married Donald Heflin on October 19, 1957 and they shared 64 years together until her passing. Audrey was a stay at home mom and raised her 4 children until she went to work for the Tuslaw School District, serving as a monitor for the grade schools. She went work at Electricord Inc. and eventually became a supervisor. She loved her job and hated to retire after 35 years of service, only doing so after her cancer diagnosis. She attended and was active with Faith Lutheran Church. She enjoyed baking bowling, cermaics and reading. Audrey was a woman of incredible faith, who loved her family very much. She always had a big smile and a warm embrace for everyone she met and will be dearly missed. She will forever be remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Don; her children Tamra (Gerald) Dale; Donald (Linda) Heflin Jr.; Toni (Joan) Heflin and Janet (Tim) Kohl; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 6 sisters and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. In addition to her parents, Audrey was preceded in death by 3 sisters. A Celebration of Audrey’s life will be held on Friday, June 03, 2022 at 11a.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home. Pastor Emily Seitz will be officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, June 02, 2022 from 5-8p.m. and 1 hour prior to the service on Friday. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations in Audrey’s memory can be made to Crossroads Hospice.
