Arvine H. Myers Jr. age, 90 passed away at his home on March 14, 2014. He was born in Massillon on December 31, 1923 to the late Martha (Rost) and Arvine Myers. He was a 1942 graduate of Washington High School. He married Doris Jordan on December 30, 1952 and they shared 61 years together until her passing on February 19, 2014. Arvine served his country during World War II in the Army Air Corps. He retired from Republic Steel as the Chief Metallurgist in 1981. He was a long time member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and was active in the Boy Scouts. Arvine's passion was aviation. He held a pilot's license enjoying flying into his 80's. His family was his life spending time with his wife and children. He is survived by his children; Arvine H. Myers III, Russell (Mary Sueltz) Myers, Eric (Carla) Myers, Michael (Dody) Myers and Amy (John) Gleason; 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church on Monday, March 17, 2014 at 10:30 A.M. The Reverend Dr. James Friesner officiating. The family will receive friends at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Sunday, March 16, 2014 from 6-8 P.M. Burial will take place at Rose Hill Memory Garden.
