Arthur F Nabinger Jr., 89, of Massillon, OH, died March 31, 2021. He was born on September 23, 1931, to Arthur and Frances Nabinger of Cleveland, OH. He graduated from James F. Rhodes HS on June 16, 1950. Arthur took training in the Department of Navy as an Airman and Aviation Electronic technician. Arthur was honorably discharged from the US Marine Corps. as a radar equipment foreman. Arthur married his wife of 64 years, Jacqueline Allman, on September 1, 1956, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Massillon, OH. He started his lifelong learning at OSU in Industrial Engineering. He continued to take courses at Akron U. in Industrial Management, graduated from Malone College with BA on December 17, 1986. Arthur worked at the Timken company for 25 years in Industrial Engineering. Mr. Nabinger was active in boy scouts, president of Massillon Band Parents, Massillon football “chain gang”, Toast Masters, and American Legion, After his marriage, he became a lifelong member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He loved playing cards, camping, boating and water skiing. In retirement, he enjoyed traveling with his RV, and flying radio model airplanes. Art was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Frances Nabinger, his son, Arthur “Trace” Nabinger, and his sister, Betty (Nabinger) Scibbe. He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline (Allman) Nabinger, daughter, Cynthia (Nabinger) Givens, son-in law, Brian Givens, grandchildren, Emily (Given) Byrd, and Alex Givens, great-grandchildren, Hannah and Samuel Givens and Lilliana Byrd. On April 10th, 2021, a viewing will be held at Paquelet Funeral home in Massillon at 9:30am-11:30am, funeral Mass at St. Mary's Church in Massillon at 12 noon followed by the burial at the Rose Hill Cemetery. The funeral will be livestreamed from St. Mary's Church and can be viewed by clicking HERE In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church in Massillon.
