Arlene J. Ritter

Arlene J. Ritter, age 80 of Massillon, died on Sunday, February 13, 2011 at Rose Lane Health Care Center. She was born on January 2, 1931 in Massillon and was the daughter of the late Louis and Mary (Jacobs) Bertels. She was a lifetime member of the Tiger Town Boat & Ski Club. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Velma Getz, her brother, LaVerne Bertels and her brother-in-law, Edward Ricosky. She is survived by her husband, Warren C. Ritter, whom she married on February 9, 1957, her daughters, Bonnie (Phillip) Gonter of Canton and Joanne (Mark) Tipton of Massillon, her son, LaVerne W. “Butch” (Jane) Ritter of Alpharetta, GA, 6 grandchildren, Amanda Tipton, Gina Gonter, Erin Tipton, Christine Ritter, Allison Ritter and Laura Ritter and her sister Lillian Ricosky of Canton.
