Arcoe J. Lowe

Arcoe J. Lowe, age 81, of Massillon, died Sunday evening at the Laurels of Massillon. He was born on September 6, 1925 in Orma, WV and was the son of the late Chester and Hazel (Alfred) Lowe. He was a Massillon resident for 47 years. Arcoe was a highly decorated veteran serving under General George Patton in the 65th Halbert Division in the European Theater during WW II. He was a member of the American Legion Post 159 in Williamstown, WV. He retired from East Ohio Gas in 1973. He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. He is survived by his wife, Kathryn D. (Treadway) Lowe whom he married on July 20, 1947; his son and daughter-in-law, Randy A. and Judy Lowe of Massillon and his grandchildren, Steven A. Lowe and Heather M. Lowe both of Massillon. A graveside service was held for the family at Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio. There were no calling hours.
