Annie Marchuk

Annie Marchuk, 95, of Massillon, passed away on Thursday, July 8, 2021. She was born in Youngstown, Ohio, on June 18, 1926, and was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Karmazin) Marchuk. Annie worked at the former Youngstown U.S. Steel Corporation for 36 years and was a member of the U.S. Steel Retirees Luncheon Club and the St. George Philoptachos Society. She leaves behind her sisters, Kathryn Palko of Florida, and Dorothy Nameth with whom she lived; niece, Diane (William) Lawriw of Florida; nephews, Thomas (Kay) Palko of Medina and David (Mindy) Palko of Grove City, Ohio; many cousins, and special friends Wanda Horvath, Betty and Nicki Pribich of North Carolina. The funeral service will be held on Friday, July 16, 2021, at 11 a.m. at St. George Orthodox in Massillon. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and one hour before the service at the church. A Trisagion (Prayer Service) will be held at the funeral home at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Annie’s name to St. George Greek Orthodox Church, Massillon, or to the Shriners Children’s Hospital for Children, 3229 Burnet Ave. Cincinnati, Ohio 45229.
