We the children, family members and friends gather together to celebrate the life of Annie Louise Hunter. Born to Robert and Kansas Gardin, on November 25, 1915, in Gastonia, NC, Annie, also known by Louise, was the youngest of eleven children. She was the longest living child from the Gardin-Robinson union. God blessed Annie with Theodore R. Hunter, her lifelong spouse of sixty-three years. From that union, three sons and four daughters were born, they also adopted and raised two granddaughters. Annie was a homemaker until 1960, when she began her career outside the home at Page's Confectioners. She moved into the healthcare profession at Old Mercy hospital as a Nurse's Aide. Annie was transferred to Timken Mercy hospital to continue her career. She excelled and was promoted to the position of Ward Secretary on Four Main. Within a few years, Annie was again promoted to Medical Records Secretary, holding this position until her retirement in 1981. Prior to her working outside the home and while pursuing her career, Annie was known throughout Stark County as an accomplished church pianist and organist. Annie's love for the Lord was evident through her compassion for others, love of her family and her praise while playing God's Word in song! She played at Faith United Christian Church formerly known as Cherry Avenue Christian Church, Antioch Baptist, People's Baptist and Mt.Olive Baptist, formerly known as Greater Jerusalem. Annie retired after twenty-two years of service at Macedonia Baptist in Waynesburg, Ohio and played a total of seventy-seven years.
