Anne Marie Mcmanus

Anne Marie McManus, age 93 of Massillon, passed away at home surrounded by her family on Monday, December 26, 2016. She was born on January 2, 1923 in Johnstown, PA and was the daughter of the late Steven and Anna (Shea) Williams. She retired after many years from Tallmadge City Schools where she was a paraprofessional. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Canton. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Leroy McManus, whom she married on May 29, 1946. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Fergus and Evelyn Yeager and two brothers Dan Rerko and Steven Williams. Anne is survived by her daughters, Rosanne (Wayne) Griffith of East Canton and Mary (Ron) Gilbert of Massillon, seven grandchildren, Jason (Heather) Griffith, Amelia (Keith) Happoldt, Ron (Gabrielle) Gilbert, Stephen (Christina) Gilbert, Michael (Amber) Perez-Strohmeyer, Jessica (Brian) Sommers and Aaron (Jennifer) Perez-Strohmeyer and nine great grandchildren. Private graveside will be held Friday for the family and she will be laid to rest beside her husband at Holy Cross Cemetery in Akron, Ohio.
