Anne L. Smith

Anne L. Smith (nee Bunting) Born July, 24, 1937- Died March 5, 2021 A devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and daughter. Anne was called to her heavenly home on March 5, 2021. Her family, church and community were faithfully served for many years. She graduated from Washington High School in 1955. She was a member of St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church, where she served on the vestry. Anne was president of the E.C.W. for 25 years. She held the position of the Head Sacristan for 31 years. She also served as a Eucharistic Minister. She was a member of The Massillon Woman’s Club, where she served as President of the Fine Art’s section and was a member of the Literary section. She was a member of The Family Counseling Services, where she served first as a board member and then as President. She also served as the Devotions Chairwoman for Church Woman United of Massillon. She was also a member of Ohio Eastern Stars, Legacy Chapter #596, in North Canton, Ohio. For 23 years she was the owner and operator of A & J Custom Products, a custom engraving service. Anne was preceded in death by her parents, Charlotte and Sheldon Bunting, and her beloved husband of 44 years, Joseph L. Smith. Surviving are her children, Eric D. Smith, Evan J. Smith (Pam), and foster son Richard D. Bright (Nikki). Grandchildren, Maeghan, Danielle, Jason and Amanda (Brandon) Smith, Sarah and Thomas Bright. Great-grandchildren, Skye, Aleigha and Quintin, Raelynn, Aria, Brynleigh, Ella & Eva. She is also survived by her dearly loved cousin Elaine Jenkins & good friend Chris Lane. A private service will be held at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church for family. Calling hours will be held from 6-8pm on Wednesday March 10th at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home. Burial will take place in Massillon Cemetery. A special thanks to Mercy Hospice Care for the wonderful care and support.
