Anne Cordes

Anne Cordes, age 90, of Massillon passed away September 4, 2012 at Indianspring Nursing Home in Cincinnati, just one week after being diagnosed with terminal cancer. She was born in Mt. Union, PA but lived most of her adult life in Massillon, until moving to Cincinnati in 2011. Anne was a selfless and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She worked until she was 83, was a life-long member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Massillon, enjoyed watching the Indians and the Browns, and loved reading mystery novels. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Cordes (1997), and is survived by a son, Patrick Cordes of Longmont, Colorado, a daughter, Martha Ignizio of Cincinnati, OH, a brother, Al Stevens of Homosassa, Florida, three grandchildren, Clayton Cordes, Chris Ignizio, and Michael Neuenschwander, and one great-granddaughter. A Celebration of Anne's Life will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at Paquelet Funeral Home: 1100 Wales Rd. N.E., Massillon, OH. Rev. Rhonda Gallagher will be Officiating.
