Anna Louise (Luke) Poland, age 90, of Massillon, passed away early Monday morning at Altercare of Nobles Pond. Anna was born in Canton on May 1st, 1916. She was a graduate of McKinley High School. She was an associate member of First United Methodist of Massillon, a member of Brooklyn Memorial United Methodist (Cleveland) and Eastern Star #559 of Strongsville. Anna resided in Portland, Oregon from 1943 to 1964 and in Cleveland, from 1964 to 2001. She was preceded in death by her father William Luke, mother Jennie (Bilger) Luke; Brothers Samuel, William, Harold, Fred, Harvey, and John Luke; sisters Jennie Summers, Margaret Luke, and Betty Weyand; husband Bernard Poland, son-in-law Claude Best, and Great-grand son Christopher Poland. She is survived by her daughter Carol Nyland of Wyoming MI; sons and daughter-in-laws Cheryl and Richard Poland of Lewiston, ID, and Louise and Walter Poland of Canton; twelve grand children, fourteen great-grand children, and eight great-great-grand children, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday at 1:00 P.M. at the Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home with Rev. Leslie Peine officiating. Interment will take place on Saturday at 11:00 A.M. at Sunset Memorial Park in North Olmsted, Ohio. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 5-8 P.M.
