Anna M. Gugov, age 89 of Massillon, passed away May 13, 2010 at Hanover House. She was born September 20, 1920 to the late Nick & Barbra (King) Pustoy in Lackawanna, NY. A life long Massillon resident, Anna was a 1939 graduate of Washington High School. She was proud to be a homemaker, wife and mother. She was an expert in cooking, gardening, and had the home where all the neighborhood kids were welcomed. Her family will miss her funny stories, skills with home remedies, and advice on life. Our ‘Mom’ always cared for and helped in any way those who were less fortunate. She loved to help people. Anna was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Christian-Mother Altar Rosary Society, Crafty Ladies and the Soup Kitchen. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her dear husband, Krist P. Gugov (1979) and three loving sisters, Rose Christ, Bertha Berry and Helen Paul. Anna is survived by four children and spouses, Martin & Connie Gugov, Nona & Jay Swartz, Krist & Peggy Gugov all of Massillon and Kris B. Chapman of Long Beach, CA.; 10 grandchildren, Susan Welton, Karen Deitrick, Angie Krichbaum, Lexi Keppel, Jennifer Truman, Steve Swartz, Martin Gugov, Diana Martinet, Elizabeth Sirgo, and David Chapman; nine great grandchildren, Lauren, Nathan, Kylie, Delaney, Jackson, Grant, Gracie, Graham, and Brody; one brother, Mickey Pustoy of Perry Twp. Funeral Service will be 10 AM Monday at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon, Fr. Thomas Cebula will officiate. Burial will be at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
