Anna Elizabeth Fahrni Stuck passed away May 7, 2013, with her family at her side at Barberton Citizens Hospital's Hospice and now joins her deceased husband, Leland Roy Stuck. She was born Nov. 28, 1924, to John and Bertha Fahrni both from Switzerland, meeting and uniting in the Dalton area where Ann was raised on a large dairy farm on Fahrni Street in the West Lebanon area and graduated from Dalton High School in 1942. She went to Hamel Actual Business College and worked at Republic Steel. Ann had to quit college and take care of her ill mother, Bertha. Ann later married World War II veteran, Leland, whose family, Horace and Bertha Stuck, came from Vinton County, Ohio. Ann and Lee married, July 15, 1947 and lived in Mount Eaton, Massillon and later near North Lawrence. She was a partner with her husband in Lee's Bait & Tackle Shop in Massillon where she sold bird seed and bird houses. She was an active member of the Canton Swiss Club and attended Calvary Baptist Church of Moffitt Heights. They are survived by their three children. Robert (Sheryl) of Massillon and grandson, Matthew, granddaughters Meredith and Melissa (Brandon) Webb, and great-grandson, Cormac. Richard (Bonnie) Stuck of Hartville and granddaughter Kathryn (Dan) Hawk, grandson Andy (Megan) Stuck and great-granddaughter, Margo. Patricia (Samuel) A. Stuck-Bursac of Barberton and grandson, Nicholas, granddaughters Alicia and Tricia (Andy) Richards and great-grandchildren Kylie, Evie, Declan and Taylor. Ann was the proud owner of a little black Dachshund named Lily which became her constant companion. Ann is survived by a brother, George Fahrni of Michigan, whose wife Lou is deceased. Deceased brothers include Clyde (Reva); Fritz (Dolly); Victor (surviving wife, Thelma); Ernie (surviving wife Mildred) and Johnny and infant siblings Louise and Walter. Lee's family included deceased brothers and sisters - Charles (surviving wife, Phyllis) Stuck, and Horace Stuck, Garnet (Wayne) Herron, and infant sister, Mary. Surviving sisters include Mildred (Dale) Rudy, Margorie (Richard, deceased) Reichel, Rose (Ray) Williams. Ann is survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Services are at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home in Massillon, Ohio (330-833-4839) with calling hours Tuesday May, 14 from 6 – 8:00pm and the funeral Wednesday May 15 at 11:00am with calling hours one hour before the service.
