Anna M. Breider, 75, of Cincinnati, passed away on November 4, 2022, following an extended illness.
She was born on December 23, 1946 to the late Dr. Diego and Loretta (Muskoff) Mattarella in Canton, OH.
Anna was a graduate of Knox College and the University of Wisconsin, where she received her Master of Arts degree in Spanish. She worked as a teacher for Whiteford Agricultural Schools and after her retirement she continued her love of Spanish by teaching at Owens Community College.
She was connected to her students during her teaching years and served as the Junior Class Advisor. She loved to build floats for the homecoming parades. She was dedicated to her family and enjoyed taking family trips. She also enjoyed spending her days exploring Sylvania, especially Olander Park, with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed being surrounded by her cats and was a regular contributor to Paws and Whiskers Shelter in Toledo. She loved the Green Bay Packers, University of Wisconsin and University of Michigan football.
Anna is survived by her loving husband, Bruce J. Breider; their children, Stephanie Malley, Loretta Race and Lydia Joo; five grandchildren, Diego, Eveleen, Helena, Sylvia and Mairead; and a sister, Nina Mattarella-Micke.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at 1:00 pm in the Union Lawn Cemetery, Navarre, Ohio, with Pastor Dennis Landaw, officiating.
Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association.
