Angelo P. Palmer, 80, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2005 surrounded by his family. Born in Skiathos, Greece in 1925, he was preceded in death by his wife, Anastasia E. (Bagicides) Palmer of Bridgewater, Massachusetts. After immigrating to the United States at the age 19, he was proud to serve in the United States Navy. A Veteran of the Korean War and recipient of the Purple Heart, he further served with the Veterans Administration Hospital in Brockton, Massachusetts. He opened his own chocolate manufacturing business with continuous operations for 32 years. He retired in Cape Cod, Massachusetts where he lived until he moved to Maryland in 1992 and then recently to Ohio. He is survived by his son, Peter S. A. Palmer; his daughter-in-law, Paula (Manos) Palmer; his grandchildren, Angelo P. Palmer, Anastasia M. Palmer and Peter G. Palmer. A private funeral service will be held at St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Massillon, and interment will be at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. The family gratefully acknowledges all expressions of sympathy at this time and in lieu of flowers, they respectfully request that donations be made to the church or charity of your choice.
