Angeline M. Rashid

Angeline M. Rashid, age 90 of Perry Hts. passed away October 9, 2008 at Affinity Medical Center. Angeline was born May 5, 1918 in Zanesville, OH to the late Nicolas & Mary (Frem) Berbari and lived most of her life in Massillon. Angeline and her late husband Joseph owned and operated the former Lincoln Lounge for 23 years. And she retired from the M. O’Neil Co. in 1982. Angie was known for her hospitality, Lebanese cooking and warm family life. Her grandchildren called her ‘Sito’ and her life evolved around them. Angeline was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph (1990), three sisters, Georgette Berbari, Lucille Berbari & Jeanette Elum; two brothers, Joseph & Tom Berbari. She is survived by three children and spouses: Elaine & Tim Maguire, Larry & Korrin Rashid and Victor Rashid all of Massillon; four sisters, Juliet Habib, Rosemarie (Phillip) George, Adele (Gene) Moore & Yvonne (Tom) Jesser; two brothers John (Mary)Berbari & George (Suzi) Berbari. Her grandchildren are: Anne-Marie, Timothy, Mark, Allison, Shelly, Marisa, Angela, Joseph, Michael, Nicole and Taylor; and great grandchildren: Alyssa, Lauren, Michael, Megan, Lindsey, Natalie, Maia, Trent, Alexa, & Nikolas, Brittani and Shawn. A Mass of Christian burial will be 10 AM Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, her pastor Fr. Raymond Paul will officiate. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
