Heaven has gained another angel! Angela Marie Ferguson, age 37, lost her courageous battle with brain cancer at her home on November 24, 2012, with her loving family by her side. She's become that gorgeous brown and teal butterfly she's described to so many. It is with great sadness we say a temporary goodbye to a graceful and beautiful lady. Angie was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She constantly had a smile on her face and always put others before herself. Her family was very important to her. Angie's journey made her even stronger as she fought to maintain her independence for as long as possible. Angie Insisted on staying active in the lives of all her children, Chloe Ferguson (age 10), Caden Triplett (age 9), Maria Triplett (age 7), and Keira Ferguson (age 3). She was a supportive mom who was always there to provide comfort and encouragement, even in the face of adversity. Please say a prayer for her children as they face the challenges of life without their precious momma. Angie changed the life of her loving and devoted husband, Todd. They shared an unconditional love for one another. She showed him the beauty of life, the value of love and he will forever be holding her left hand. She is eternally ingrained in his heart. Angie's final wish was to go to Siesta Key with her husband. She was unable to make that trip. Now she can put her feet in the cool white sand and feel the warmth of the crystal clear gulf waves. She now has an everlasting view of that beautiful blue sky as she watches over those she loved. For those of us who love Angie, this is a tremendous loss. With her, she takes a piece of our hearts. Angie was preceded in death by her grandparents Antonio and Maria Pires, and sister-in-law Kelli Halterman. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Todd; children Chloe, Caden, Maria, and Keira; parents Vic and Etelvina Pires, sisters Jennifer Pires and Nancy Pires, brother Michael Pires, grandmother Maria Tavares, grandfather Napoleao Vicente, mother-in-law Holly Halterman, brother-in-law Trevor (Elisa) Ferguson. Also survived by many cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. We would like to send a special thank you to not only her physician, but also her friend, Dr. Tanya Tekautz and her nurse Mary Murphy at the Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Tekautz went above and beyond in her care and compassion. Thank you to Dr. Nina Kucyk who helped Angie and her family with her journey. Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to the benefit for Angie and her family. The support from everyone was overwhelming and it touches our hearts to know there are so many kind and compassionate people. Her family would like to thank all her extended family and friends for their support in providing companionship, care, and meals for Angie and her family. Those kind gestures will never be forgotten. Thank you for the kind, compassionate and supportive care provided by Crossroads Hospice. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Angela Pires-Ferguson Benevolent Fund at any Huntington Bank, Crossroads Hospice or Life Bank.
