Andrew T. Lucansky, age 93, of Jackson Twp passed away April 3, 2014. Andy was born September 4, 1920 in Massillon to the late Daniel & Mary (Stancheck) Lucansky. He was a 1938 graduate of Washington High School. He was a scheduler for Republic Steel. Andy served in both the US Army and Air Force during WW II. He was a member of the American Legion Post #221, the VFW Post #5047 and the South East Hill Gang. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Jane Lucansky (2013). He was the last surviving sibling of nine: Jan, John, Daniel, Albert, Mary Jacks, Suzie Lucansky, Ann Looman, Sue Daniksa & Helen Smyers. Andy is survived by his daughter, Marlene Kaser of Elyria, Oh, grandchildren; Rachelle Bowser and Traves Vanche; and great grandchildren; Brandon, Logan, Adrianna, Kadence and Nevaeh. And many nieces, nephews and cousins. Services will be 1:30 PM Monday at Christ Lutheran Church, Rev. Nancy Bacon and Rev. Dennis Engler will officiate. His final resting place will be at Massillon Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 PM at the Paquelet Funeral Home.
