Andrew Mihos

Andrew Mihos, 84 of Perry Township, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, September 19, 2017. Andrew was born on July 11, 1933, in Canton, OH the son of the late Emanuel and Louise (Kapsis) Mihos. He had a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Kent State University. He retired from K & F Industries after 28 years in inventory control. He served as an elder in the West Massillon congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses for 24 years and was active in the ministry, where he enjoyed having Bible discussions with people. He truly believed in God’s promises that death will one day be done away with and reversed. Andy was always very kind and meek and was known for his sweet disposition. He had a great sense of humor. Even in his most recent hospital stay, he enjoyed joking with the nurses. We greatly appreciate the rehab and medical staff at Affinity Medical Center for their loving care, as well as Crossroads Hospice who was there to help the family in the end. Along with his parents he preceded in death by his brother, Chris Mihos and sister, Angie Mihos. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Lynn (Karris) Mihos; children, Becky (Wallace) Horn, Mike (Nisha) Mihos, Cherie McDade, Andrea (Jeremy) Bryant, and Jenni (Daniel) Jendrisak; grandchildren, Kristine DeOrio, Jason Horn, Jade, Michael, and Destiny Mihos, and Robert McDade; great grandchildren, Brianna Jenkins, and Gavin Horn; sisters, Olga Mammone and Athena Griffith; and many nieces and nephews. His memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses located 2177 Nave Road S.E., Massillon, OH 44646 on October 8, 2017 at 3:30 p.m. Calling hours will be from 2:30 - 3:30 p.m. before the service.
