Alverda Mcconnaughy

Alverda (Colucy) Tiarog-McConnaughy of Massillon, passed away on January 17, 2015, her 98th birthday. She was born in Navarre, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Ralph and Anna (Cincinat) Colucy. She owned and operated Alverda's Beauty Shop for over 20 years. Alverda enjoyed golfing, traveling and spending time with her family Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, John Tiarog in 1960 and her only daughter, Sonia Tiarog in 1956. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, David, Joseph, Raymond, Raphael, Eugene, Leonard and Ronald, She is survived by her husband, Harold McConnaughy and special niece Barbara Surmay and many other nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 21st at 10:00 A.M. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Navarre, Ohio. Burial will follow at St. Clement's Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4-7 P.M. at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. The family would like to thank Fr.
