Alta Brown

Alta Mae Brown, age 99, formerly of East Greenville, OH passed away Thursday, August 12, 2010 at Shady Lawn Care Center in Dalton. She was born November 14, 1910 in Tuscarawas County, OH the daughter of the late Granville and Mary (Swonger) Kaser. Alta was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. As a homemaker Alta was an excellent cook and baker. She never made a cake from a box. She also enjoyed knitting and crocheting. On January 15, 1945 Alta married Louis F. Brown. He preceded her in death August 24, 2006 after 61 years of marriage. Alta is survived by her niece and caregiver Jane Kaser of Navarre; great-nephews George and Vincent Musi; many other nieces and nephews. Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a brother Lyman Kaser, a sister Goldie Cox, a half brother David Stroll, and a niece Margaret Musi. Funeral services will be Saturday August 14th at 11:00 A.M. at Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home 1100 Wales Rd. NE where the family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. Pastor Roger Thompson will officiate. Interment will follow in Brookfield Cemetery.
