Alice J. Ferguson

Alice J. Ferguson, 90, of Perry Township, passed away on June 1, 2021. She was born on October 11, 1930 in Massillon to the late Arthur and Margaret (Fisher) Henry. She was a lifelong member of St. Paul’s Lutheran church in Massillon where she also worked in the church office. Her primary place of employment was at JcPenney where she retired from after 30 years in retail. In her spare time, Alice enjoyed crafting such as ceramics and traveling to places throughout the US. Her favorite place to go to however, was an annual trip to Disney World with her beloved grandchildren. She of course loved spending time with her family but her grandchildren were the light of her life. She will be deeply missed by her daughters Judy (Daniel) Southworth and Diana (Ralph) Burns; grandchildren Denise Southworth, Scott Southworth and Angela (Jeff) Rodgers; great-grandsons William Rodgers and Arvin Langley; and her sister Janet Henry. In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her husband William H. Ferguson, Jr. and 5 siblings. A celebration of Alice’s life will be held on Friday, June 11th at 11 a.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. The family will receive friends beginning at 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Inurnment will follow at Sunset Hills Burial Park.
