Alice Grace Fazzone, 90, of Massillon, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2024. Alice was born on October 23, 1933 in New Castle, PA the daughter of the late J. Roy and Helen (Edgar) Templeton.
She was raised on a farm in Belle Center, Ohio and continued to enjoy gardening throughout her life. She received her Bachelor of Science in B.A. from Geneva College in Beaver Falls, PA. She also received her Supervisors Certificate from Kent State. Alice spent 25 years as a teacher, the last 14 years were at RG Drage as a teacher and supervisor.
Following retirement, she enjoyed traveling, especially taking cruises with friends and family, spending time with grandchildren, building puzzles and watching the Cleveland Guardians.
She was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church where she enjoyed teaching the Adult Sunday school class and serving on many committees.
She is survived by her children, Donald (Susan) Barbour, Dan (Esther) Barbour, and Linda Lockwood; grandchildren, Amanda Barbour, Lorianne Barbour, Max Barbour, Keeley Barbour, Nathan (Kristina) Lockwood, Zac (Chelsea) Lockwood, Sarah (Jerry Smith) Lockwood; 5 great-grandchildren; and brother, Robert Templeton.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Fazzone; son, David Barbour; and brother, James Templeton.
A Celebration of Alice's life will be held on Friday, May 3, 2024 at 11 am at Epworth United Methodist Church: 3061 Lincoln Way NW, Massillon, Ohio 44647. Friends and loved ones are encouraged to join the family in the fellowship hall following the services for a time of visitation and a light meal.
