Alice C. Black

Alice C. Black, age 99 passed away Friday. Alice was born December 24, 1914 in Canton to the late Jesse & Ruth (White) Hinderer. Raised in Canton, she is a 1932 graduate of McKinley High School. She married Howard Black in 1935. She and Howard, a professional golfer, co-owned the Elms Country Club. Howard and Alice retired to Florida in 1968. Howard passed away in 1969. She returned to Massillon in 2007. Together they raised five children: Nancy Sulte, Robert Black, James Black, Judi Verzulli all of Tampa Bay, and Betty Gossage of Massillon;Grand kids: Bobby, Rod, Jeneen, Randy, Ryan, Holly, Sue, Lisa, Amy, Britani. Great Grandkids: Bobby, Alexandar, Patrick, Abby, Ceara, Andy, Brandon, Aspen, Brynn, Hunter, Lauren, Scarlett, Becky, Tyler, Ryan, Danny, Kyle , Stephanie, Miranda, Landen, Braxton. Great-Great Grandkids: Mason, Riley A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Tuesday at St. Barbara's Catholic Church. Friends may call at the church from 10 AM until the service.
