Alice Ann Autrey Brown

Alice Ann (Autrey) Brown, 77, lifelong Massillon resident, passed away Thursday evening January 15, 2009 at Arbors of Canton. She was born February 21, 1931 in Massillon the daughter of the late Thomas and Pearl (Williams) Autrey. Alice was very involved in her community, and was an active member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Massillon. She is survived by her children Dino Brown, Brandon Brown, and Clarence “Yogie” Brown Jr. all of Canton, Bruce (Emily) Brown of Japan, Mark Eric Brown, and Alicia (Kenneth) Brown-Hill both of Akron; 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Alice was preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Bill, Austin, Arvie “Chick”, and June Autrey, sisters; Rosie Stokes and Lucille Dorsey and great grandchild; Javarre Tate, . She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. Visitation will be held Friday from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at Paquelet Funeral Home 1100 Wales Rd., Massillon with services at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Rev. Derrick Willis Sr. will officiate.
