Alfred B. Barto, age 64, passed away Monday January 31, 2011 at Affinity Medical Center. Al was born April 4, 1946 in Cleveland to the late Apolonius (Hap) and Anna (Kasprzyk) Barto. He was raised in Willoughby and lived in Canal Fulton for many years where he was a police officer before moving to Jackson Twp. in 2001. Al was the owner of Barto Decorating in Wooster. He served in the Ohio National Guard and was a member of the American Legion Post #966 and Moose Club, Cuyahoga Falls OH Chapter #686. He will be remembered as one who greeted each morning with joy. Ready to do whatever was needed, he was bigger than life to those who knew him best. He had the pleasure of riding his Harley over much of America (including Key West and Sturgis, SD) as well as Aruba. His grandchildren gave him immeasurable joy! In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters Shirley Greene and Beverly Siedlarczyk. Al is survived by his wife Judy (Wright) Barto; three children, Allan (Nadine) Barto, Christina Barto and Victoria (Michael) Esposito; two step children, Keith Burch and Kimberly (Charlie) Lukens and a brother Francis (Frank) Barto; five grandchildren Denise, Grace, Addison, Alexander Brittain, Allison and one soon to be here. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM Friday at St. Phillip & James Catholic Church in Canal Fulton. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Akron. Friends may call Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. The procession to Greenlawn will form at the church on Friday morning.
