Alexander J. Medrano age 19 of Brewster died Tuesday at Aultman Hospital as the result of an auto accident. Alex was born in Canton to Frank J. Medrano Jr. and Michelle R. (Lesko) Medrano and was raised in the Navarre-Brewster area. He was a 2010 graduate of Fairless High School where he played freshmen, JV and Varsity basketball. He was anticipating going to college. This summer Alex was a membership recruiter for the Towpath Y in Navarre. His friends will remember his humor and dry whit. He loved life, family and animals; especially his boxer Maggie. Alex’s generosity was exemplified by being an organ donor; seven individuals were granted a new chance at LIFE. Alex is survived by his parents: Michelle R. Medrano of Louisville, his father Frank J. Medrano Jr. of Brewster, a sister Andrea (Paul) Sickafoose of Louisville; grandmothers, Sandra Lesko of Louisville and Sandra Medrano of Navarre, a great grandmother Pearl Loshark of Lousiville. A special friend Cassie Wenger; and a large number of Aunts, Uncles and cousins. Monday at 10:30 AM there will be a service for family and friends to share thoughts and memories of Alex. Fr. Edward Beneleit will officiate. Burial will follow at East Union Lawn. Friends are invited to be with the family Sunday from 2-4 PM at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon.
