Aldawna G. Hammel

Aldawna G. Hammel, age 30 of Plain Twp. passed away on November 17, 2019. She was born in Canton, on May 15, 1989 to Gayle (Shannon) Hammel and Kathryn (Donny) Raynard. She was a 2007 graduate of Washington High School. Aldawna worked as a Message Therapist for Massage Envy and Well Being. She was the kind of person who never knew a stranger and made friends, wherever she went. She enjoyed spending time with children, family and friends. She will forever be remembered as a devoted and loving, daughter, sister, fiancee’, aunt and friend. She is survived by her fiancé Devon Washington, her children Lamarr Hammel, Brynleigh Hammel; her stepson Dominick Washington; her father and step-mother Gayle and Shannon Hammel; her mother Kathy (Donny) Raynard; her grandmothers Ruby Hammel and Crystal “GRAM” Thomas; her sisters Kathryn (Eric) Diaz Valero, Michaela (Aaron) Hammel, Johnna (Devin) Hammel and her step sister Taylor (Jack) Swinderman; her niece Mia; her nephew Jasper and her step nieces Jordyn, Kindall, and Morgan as well as a host of family members and many friends. A Celebration of her life will be held on Friday, November 22, 2019 at 11a.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 21, 2019 from 4-8p.m. and 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at German Cemetery in Mineral City. Donations can be made to the family to help defray funeral expenses.
