Albert J. Simia

Albert Simia, 93, died on January 7, 2022. He was born October 18, 1928 in Canton the late Louis & Aurora (Ciccone) Simia. He grew up in the corn center in Canton and attended McKinley High School. In his younger days he worked as a plasterer for several years until he opened Alcarr’s Lounge in 1972, where he worked until his retirement in 2013. He was a partner in the Willow Springs Swim Club in Plain Township and also sponsored and participated in several golf, bowling, and baseball leagues in the community. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 57 years Frances (Cassille) Simia, brother Gene Simia, Sr., and brother- in law Alex Karras, Sr. Albert is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Francesca and Aaron Burgess; grandchildren Isabella and Addison Burgess; sister Doris Karras; nieces & nephews Gene (Yvonne) Simia Jr., Sharon (Jon) Crush, Susan Bianchi and Sonny Rave, Pam Schott, Mark Greku and Tami Bahney. Private services will be held for the family.
