Albert 'Barney' Robinson

Albert Barney Robinson, age 59, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 13, 2006 after a brief illness. Albert was born on Feb. 26, 1947 in Springfield, Ohio to the late Annison and Ila Mae (Coles) Robinson. He lived in New York until the age of 16 and moved to Massillon and resided here until his homegoing. Albert took great pleasure in gardening, writing and building. Albert rededicated his life to Christ before departing this life. Barney leaves to cherish memories, his loyal and devoted wife, Viola Robinson of 35 years, daughter and son-in-law, Veronica (Beloved) Bennu of Columbus, OH, sons; Aaron B. and Alexander B. Robinson both of Massillon, 4 grandchildren, sisters; Denise (Gary) Combs of Massillon, Veronica Burns of Massillon, brothers; Anthony (Kristy) Burns of Massillon, Anthony J. Dymes of Massillon, Special friends who are like his brothers; Teshi Lukes of Canton, Lisbon James of Cleveland, OH, Kinslow of Canton and a stepfather, Paul J. Burns, whom he affectionately called Pap-a-dop of Massillon, and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services celebrating Barney's life will be held Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at 11:00 AM at Word of Liberty Christian Center with Apostle Bernard Lawson officiating. Calling hours will be held one hour prior to the services at the church. Final resting place will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Massillon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the family. The Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon is in charge of the arrangements.
