Albert James Drury, 74, of Massillon, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2021. He was born on November 10, 1946 to the late Albert and Della (Bunton) Drury. Al graduated from McKinley High School in 1964. He proudly served in the US Army for four years. Alberts patience paid off in 1972, when Nancy accepted his hand in marriage. Shortly after, they joined St. Mary Catholic Church, Massillon, OH which is their family Church today. In 2011, Al retired after 45 years as a Machinist. Al loved fishing and family adventures. His family was blessed to share Father’s Day 2021 with him as they reminisced on all their great times together. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 49 years, Nancy (Schiltz) Drury; his beloved children Michael (Suzann), Joseph (Stacey), Christina (John) Lamb, and Thomas (Kim); grandchildren who were the light of his life, Noah, Stella, Grant, Myles, Amelia, Gracey, Johnathan and Emmet; sister Carol (Steve) Kirk; sisters-in-law Hilda Drury, Judith (Don) Weigand, Maria (Jeffrey) Michel. In addition to his parents, Al was preceded in death by his brother Thomas Drury. The family will receive friends on Monday, June 28th from 5-7 p.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church and inurnment will follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery for a 3:15 p.m. inurnment. All attending the cemetery service will need to be at the funeral home by 1:45 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Al’s name to St. Vincent de Paul, 206 Cherry Rd NE, Massillon, OH 44646.
